Honest Abraham Lincoln

Honest Abraham Lincoln

While Abraham Lincoln is most known for the Gettysburg address and freeing of the slaves with the Emancipation Proclamation, did you know that Honest Abe was also a legendary wrestler? While wresting wasn’t nearly as organized in those days, it did attract large crowds who watched and gambled as strong men competed in a show of strength. Lincoln started wrestling at a young age, accumulating more than 300 victories, with only one loss over 12 years. Lincoln was inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame as an Outstanding Wrestler in 1992.

Printing Quiz

When a printer mentions hierarchy, what they really mean is…

  • A system in which people are ranked according to status or authority
  • Religious authorities, such as the clergy of the Catholic or Episcopal Church
  • An arrangement or classification according to relative importance

In layout and design, visual hierarchy helps guide the reader’s eye and is used to visually organize content. For example, larger titles and images get more attention than smaller elements.
